Interesting class. Patterson wrote the textbook so she knows her stuff. Study hard for the exams though; they're not as easy as you would expect and the curve is a bit rough.

Samantha Tornello was an awesome TA. Very chill and approachable, best TA I've ever had. Do the readings for the class. The class seems like really basic information so I barely read for the first test and completely bombed it.

Don't take this class. Take either 2400 or 2600 instead of this worthless class.

Really interesting subject but not a great professor. She has a monotonous voice and stumbles over her words a lot. But she wrote the textbook so she knows what she's talking about. I've heard a lot of bad things about the other profs for this class, so I'm not really sure there's a good prof to choose. If you're interested in this subject, definitely take the class anyway and take the discussion section too. The tests are tricky so study hard!!

Go to lecture, read the book (focusing mainly on the bolded terms) and you'll do well in this class. Only 3 midterms, no final. Some questions have tricky "distracters" so be prepared. Pay attention to small details.

Overall this is one of the easier psych classes.

Absolutely avoid this Professor. Grade distribution made no sense, and the multiple choice exams were poorly written.

This class was very, very picky with arbitrary grading (the curve is very extreme and you can go from an A to a B- on exams by missing 4 of the aforementioned very picky questions). Know all the small details in the book and statistics from class, she's really particular since she wrote the book. The optional discussion was actually interesting--covers the more intriguing topics that Patterson introduces in lecture. Riana is a great TA!

Patterson made the discussion optional, which was nice. However, going to class isn't especially necessary, but you HAVE to read the book and memorize stupid details about it. Her tests are very specific and require a lot of preparation to get a good grade. I don't recommend taking this class unless you're a psych major.

Her voice was so monotonous. Its a pretty easy class, but I fell asleep everyday in lecture because of her voice!

The lectures are sometimes boring, but attend them because she may show videos. Do the readings she says to because it will show up on tests. Three midterms that are fair. Not too hard of a class.
