Pretty straightforward class. 40 lines of translation due every class, which was pretty significant. There were weekly quizzes on a randomly selected excerpt from part of the ~120 lines of homework that week. If you showed general knowledge of the vocab and how the grammar fit together, you pretty much got 100s on the quizzes, with a few exceptions here and there. Midterm and final were basically just mostly random selections of the homework (final was not cumulative), so I had to review like 600+ lines before each exam, which was a cram. Big chunk of your final grade also was an ~8-page paper on a topic of your choice related to Ovid. Prof went over each of the Metamorphoses stories before we translated them and outlined themes, which was interesting. Worthwhile class with a friendly and helpful professor, but definitely one where you need to put in the work for an A (do your translations).
