Highly recommended to all Latin students who aren't part of the hoary old Vergil-stroking persuasion. Myers presents a slice of Ovid in all his mind-shattering passionate beauty. The Fasti is a chronicle of ancient times written in post-modern style, and it reinvigorated my love for the Classics. Myers is a pretty easy prof., just 20-25 lines of translation a day. The essay was a nice break from all the grammar work and it was fun to explore the more literary side of Latin study. A great 3000-level course.
