I took this class in my final semester at UVA and I can confidently say that Prof. Loeffler is one of the best lecturers, most knowledgeable historians, and friendliest faculty members I encountered. Very thankful to have taken this class, you'll learn a lot without feeling stressed or overworked. Highly recommend.

Mr. Loeffer is a fantastic lecturer and keeps the class interesting. Not a history person, but still enjoyed it. Recommended.

Professor Loeffler was one of the most helpful professors I've ever had at UVA, if not THE most helpful. He suggested several sources for my research paper and his lectures were always interesting. Go to class, develop a rapport with him (very easy to do since he's so friendly), and you will be sure to do well.

Professor Loeffler is a great lecturer. There's a lot of material, and tons of notes, so it's kind of difficult if you miss a class. That said, it's a great class, and not too much work, other than the reading.
