Avoid- a dry lecturer and the midterm/final aren't bad, but require much more detailed attention than possible

Horrible class. He is sooo boring and there is only a midterm and final, no other grades. Attendance only counts against you, not for you if you go to class. Such a boring lecturer, don't take it unless you absolutely have to.
Don't even worry about reading the book. Go to class, pay attention and take notes. These notes are what the test is based on. I suggest starting a study group with people a few days before the exam and sharing notes to check for accuracy and fill in the gaps. The material is very interesting, and it's fun to hear Professor Frick's anecdotes in class :)
Mr. Frick is very knowlegeable but not a very good teacher. A good survey class but it lacks in structure and you don't go very deep with the content.
Don't listen to the person who said this was boring and the grading was difficult. This is a good (& necessary) class to take if you're a major and if not, it's a good way to learn about something diff. in history! The grading in this class is NOT tough, but it's not a guaranteed A. Just do the work, study some for the tests, and you'll do great!
I went into this course not expecting to enjoy it much, but it turned out to be one of my best classes of the semester. Knowing theatre history is helpful to put what we do in context, and it's fun to be able to identify theatrical time periods in films.
Very dry, boring, tough grading. Only take if you required for your major.
