This class was extraordinarily easy. That being said, I don't think it was a waste of time as I genuinely enjoyed doing the readings as the topics are quite interesting. Prof Fontanilla is very nice and clearly cares about what she is teaching, but sometimes she can be hard to understand and it is difficult to pay attention in lecture. Would recommend taking if you have space in your schedule and want a GPA boost

This course was simply too easy. I never thought I’d say that but I was extremely bored and this felt like a waste of my time and efforts. I ended up never coming to class because I didn’t get anything out of lecture - they were always just the professor talking about herself. Minimal assignments. I know she said she was changing the course in the future though so beware - she got very frustrated at the end of the semester and I could see this becoming harder.

I had mixed feelings with this class. Since I had her during her first-semester teaching, things obviously were not perfect but she was great. I have personally never gone to her OHs or talked to her but you can just tell she is the sweetest person ever. The lectures can be pretty boring and I ended up not going during the end of the semester but she did provide lecture recordings as well. The workload was very manageable and I think many people will do just fine if you skim the readings.

This was professor Julia's first time at UVA and teaching this course, which was fairly obvious very quickly. She has a thick accent which was difficult to understand at times. Sometimes the class felt disorganized and I did not know what I was supposed to take away from the lecture. The discussion section was pointless. That being said, the readings were very interesting and I learned a lot about important stuff about medicine/healthcare. The grading was very lenient in my opinion and professor Julia and the TAs were very accommodating. She mentioned that she will be adjusting the class to improve it for the future, but I would still recommend this class to any pre-meds who need to fulfill a requirement. #tCFspring2022

This class is highly recommended if you're a premed student. The topics were extremely interesting, and professor Julia and the TA's were extremely helpful and communicative. Even if you're not a pre-med and need to complete another requirement, I would highly recommend this class.
