This class is very underwhelming. The lectures are incredibly dry and are very high level. The professor is very knowledgeable and helpful but it is very hard to pay attention during class. The homeworks are essentially questions and examples from lecture and seem to have lenient grading. There are a couple of hands on group projects with smart watches that relate to machine learning. However, it seems more like using the helper code to build the model and did not apply anything that we learned in class. There was hardly any programming and the programming we did do was for data processing which is unrelated to the course content. Nevertheless, the class doesn't have much work and it's not hard to get an A. I would recommend taking an actual signal processing or ML class rather than this class if you want to learn about those subjects.
