Prof. Nguyen is a very nice gentleman and made understanding a lot of otherwise complex subjects a lot easier by using visual demonstration and depiction. He's very approachable and understanding, and you can trust that your question will be answered to completion. Sometimes he has trouble understanding what you're asking, but a handful of students are always available to help you out. The course itself is not too advanced, it's just a lot of concepts in C++, memory, and assembly are new so students tend to get caught up on one tiny detail which derails their lab for 5 hours. Pay attention during lectures, take time to understand each concept, and approach labs cautiously and without rush. You'll be fine.

Labs take a lot of time generally with an occasional shorter one. Watch the lecture videos. The final was challenging but during covid, it was all multiple choice and fill in the blank so not terrible. Watch Bloomfield's lectures.
