This class is time consuming, especially the first couple of labs if you do not know c++. Overall the class is rewarding, and strengthens your ability to code.

Very time consuming class, mostly due to prelab/inlab/postlab assignments every week. Midterms were fair.

Bloomfield is a great teacher and really makes the class interesting. You will definitely learn useful programs, but it's a bit tough in the beginning if you don't already know C++. Try to learn it as quickly as possible and you'll be fine.

Required class for CS majors but interesting nonetheless. Bloomfield is very enthusiastic about the material and tries his best to humor the class since programming theory generally isn't that exciting. Pre-labs and post-labs take up the most time so focus on those and get them done ASAP each week. Professor is also very accessible and friendly during office hours. Get to know him.
