Sheriff is great, he knows what he's talking about and he knows what students like to learn. He's really helpful but make sure you do your work early, or else you'll end up hurting yourself.

Sherriff is a really good teacher who loves what he does. His lectures are clear and the test are fairly straight forward. The only hard part of the class is the big final project, but because you're in a big group, the work can be split up nicely

Sherriff is awesome! Go to class because his tests are very close to what he says in class. Also listen to his lectures again before the final. It helps a lot.

I really enjoyed this class! Mark Sheriff is such an entertaining and awesome professor, I would take any class with him! The grading is fair, and although all lectures are recorded, I would go to class just for him! Take it and you won't regret it.

I hated CS before the class, I still hate CS, but this class was still good overall. He really makes the lectures fun and accessible, even if you aren't a CS major. The project is a huge pain, and don't bother trying to get help from the TA's for it.

Sherriff makes CS fun, I swear. I was a terrible coder, let me repeat, terrible, and I got a solid A in the class. Go to lecture, pay attention, memorize all the easy points.

Sherriff is a great professor who is really into teaching his students about software development and as a second level cs course. I came in hating CS but left with a better liking of it because of Sherriff.

Highly recommended. He is definitely the best CS professor I have ever had. He definitely knows CS a LOT and he just has the factor that you don't want to miss his class! Recommend for every one who is interested in CS even though you are not a CS major.

Professor Sherriff is a phenomenal teacher, probably one of the best among CS faculty. His grading policy is fair, workload is reasonable and will answer your emails faster than you could imagine. As a CS major, I really hope he starts teaching some higher level classes as well. Highly recommended.

Sherriff is awesome, great class. lectures were actually interesting, and he tells you almost exactly what is on the tests/final in the review sessions. he is also a very fair grader and test maker, no trick questions.
