There were 4 different instructors for this past semester and I saw the lecture styles for most of them, in-person and recorded. I personally enjoyed and understood Prof. Hott's the best. I found him to be very friendly and willing to help no matter the question you have.
With the curriculum change for this course to CS 2100, I'm not sure if much needs to be said for the design of this course in particular. That being said, the course content had a really steep learning curve in the beginning if you've only had experience with Python/CS 1110, so I would personally recommend looking over Java basics to help ease that transition. Other than that, the labs were mostly just time to work on the homework with TA's nearby. There was a chain of homework assignments that built upon each other, which resulted in a cool final product, but a decent amount of frustration at times throughout the process, especially since they all relied upon previous code. #tCFfall2021
