Smith may not be as excited and outgoing as Sherriff, but I still think she is a very good professor. She teaches everything you really need to know, and you can really that she knows what she is talking about. Lectures are good to attend, but it won't hurt you if you miss one every once in a while. The POTDs (Program of the Day) are really the most important part of your grade, so make sure to submit them early so you have enough time to get feedback. They get a lot harder as the year progresses. The tests are very fair, but you should study for them and actually practice writing code on paper. Overall, if you put in the effort, you should get an A or maybe an A- in this class.
