This is one of the best classes that I've taken at the Comm School. Professor Wilhelm is an amazing professor and every time I leave his class, my mind is blown. If are getting into investment banking, you should take this class!!!

First of all, the one final and one midterm are 45% each so if you mess up one of them you're screwed for the semester. Second, Wilhelm is insensitive, he laughs at students when they don't give the right answer, or he coldly shuts you down and keeps talking. His lectures are all talk - the class is the history of investment banking and has nothing to do with advanced corporate finance. Pretty useless information unless you really want to know the history of wall street. Very disappointing class.

Very smart guy but his class doesnt really teach what you would expect. Its a lot of investment banking history, which is interesting, but has very little valuation work. If you plan on going into some sort of banking or consulting job, i would recommend taking this first semester.

Wilhelm knows his stuff but his lectures lack structure and are often very boring. Also, it takes him forever to grade your assignments. I only knew 20% of my grade going in to the final.
