Professor Smith is a very enthusiastic professor and is the man. The class is easy: you can dick around on your computer all class, study slides the couple days before the quizzes/tests, and still do completely fine. If you like finance, you will like most of what he has to say, but of course there are some dull things about options payoffs and what not.

I will offer two warnings: one, he teaches most of corporate finance through the lens of bankruptcy and restructuring, so if that isn't your cup of tea, you should avoid; and two, bear in mind the class is curved to a 3.3 (most people who take Smith are strong finance students so this may make it tough grade-wise).

Professor Smith makes finance way more interesting because you can tell he's excited about the material! Weekly work is really reasonable but the exams are usually harder than expected. #tcf2016
