COMM 3110

Not an exciting class, but not a bad class. Hydromaint is a waste of time, but there is no better alternative.

The main part of this course was a case called "Hydromaint" where we had to provide correct financial statements for a made up company. This was tedious, and we usually were working on things in the homework that we hadn't yet gone over in class.
The professor hardly does any teaching, so you better read the book.

Hydromaint is really hard, but other than that the concepts are easy to grasp

You learned a lot about accounting which is very useful

There's people who like accounting and people who hate it, and this class seems to sway against enjoying accounting. That being said, Banyi is very enthusiastic and presents the material pretty well.

Banyi is fine. She REALLY wants her students to succeed, explains concepts clearly, and provides plenty of material....

if you want an A in the class, you can get it as long as you actually understand HGG, which isnt all that hard...

Easier than 201.

All tests and hw are the same for all accounting classes. Sometimes doesn't explain concepts well but still does a good job.

Great professor. accessible

The course is straight forward. Study thoroughly enough ahead of time and you will be fine, a large enough challenge as most students are in ICE at the same time.
Banyi is enthusiastic about her subject. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand the topic and is incredibly available in terms of office hours and random help.

The teacher is good but the class is really hard. only take it if you absolutely have to
