Professor Wang is great. She is very smart and is a great teacher who is also pretty chill. Intermediate Accounting I really isn't that bad if you do the readings and come to class. We typically have a case due once a week but they are graded for completion so they are super easy. You also have some post or pre-class quizzes due but if you just remember to do them, you should be alright. I'd definitely recommend this class because it solidifies your understanding of financial accounting which is helpful in the real world, even if you are not an accounting or finance concentrator.
One of the harder topics is deferred tax accounting, but you are assigned a group case that really helps you learn the topic before the exam. Basically, if you just put in 2-3 hours of work a week outside of class consistently and don't push everything off, you should be fine.
Professor Wang is an amazing professor. She is very accessible to students if you have questions and is so responsive. The material is manageable, as long as you put in the time. The cases and quizzes are easy (cases only graded for completion), and the group presentation was very easy as well. The only thing is the exams which require a lot of studying but Wang gives you plenty of material and practice problems to compare. The exams are extremely fair as well. Take this class with Wang she is so sweet and a great professor.
Professor Wang is great! If you need to take this class for the accounting/finance concentration would definitely recommend her. Her course is very organized and she provides a lot of resources to make sure you understand everything. She is very understanding and kind and great to go to for office hours. Her lectures are also very organized and she typically provides notes to follow along with. There were a few exams and one project in addition to smaller quizzes throughout. Not an easy course but Wang is a great professor to take it with and prepares you well for exams. #tCFF23
