What other reviewers said is still very true. Don't buy the textbook, Baglioni is alright, but it's hard to keep up with the fast lectures sometimes. 2 Homeworks and 2 case studies, no exams for the QA portion. Mostly just learning how to use MegaStat in Excel. Go to office hours if needed. I hadn't taken Stat since high school, but I still did fine. Take block 3/4 if you're serious about finance because as mentioned, White is truly the best (although hardest).

Baglioni sucks but so does the other QA professor.

The real meat of this portion of the ICE block is Finance--your finance professor can greatly determine how successful you are in subsequent classes and interviews. For this, White is bar-none the best. He will grill you, but it does nothing but build your confidence in the material. Overall, the hardest of the ICE sections, but still not as bad as it's usually talked up to be.

Block 3's COMM 303 section was Profs. Baglioni and White. Prof. Baglioni is the kind of professor whose class you just have to get through - if you've taken STAT 212 or AP Stat, you should already know most of QA anyway. Learn everything on your own, because he's not always easy to understand and will speed through the material. When in lab, make sure you make yourself an annotated Excel spreadsheet with how to solve a sample problem - these are incredibly useful and my group and I ended up relying on my notes heavily for the final. Prof. White moved to Block 3 from 5 last year, and one can definitely see why - Block 3's generally intense atmosphere fits well with Prof. White's intensity in the classroom as well. He can get up in your face and really make you think about finance, but by the end of it all you'll have the best introduction you can to the subject. You'll know your stuff, and that's what matters. More importantly, he's always available in office hours and is a LOT more approachable there.

Baglioni talks really fast, so you really have to be alert in this class. Take notes and QA will be fine. Atchison is really nice and you can always ask him questions to clarify the material.

Atchison and Baglioni are a decent team for 303. Atchison taught 180 too, and he is a lot better as a 303 professor. Get to know him early on - he's a really interesting guy with a bunch of funny stories, and he loves talking to students. Participate in class (b/c nobody does), and make sure that you actually understand his stuff before the tests and you'll do fine. He's always available in his office. I definitely recommend Atchison.

Baglioni is a little bit more difficult. In his class, you need to make sure that you raise your hand and stop him if you don't understand how to do something, especially in labs. He moves fast when nobody asks questions, but if you don't understand it, you'll never figure it out for problem sets or the final. His problem sets take time, but they're not too difficult if you've been paying attention and understand everything. Make sure that you write down how to do things while he teaches them in lab, and you'll be fine.

Baglioni really cares about his students and the subject... it's not his fault that QA can be extremely boring. From what I've heard, you definately want him over the other QA professor, and he sometimes lets you out early or cancels class.
