Took this class just because I wanted to take another accounting class. The class didn't live up to expectations; Wilkie was entertaining at times, but I feel like he just kind of made up the rules as he went.

He was nice, but not the best teacher. He wasn't always clear at explaining things...his tests are tricky. I did much better in Comm 201 than in 202, but worked so much harder in this course. You do end up learning a lot though
He is a nice person but his aim is to trick you with his exams. Think the SAT's...you have to be very careful and sure of your answers. I understand why he did it, but coming into this new style after nearly 14 years of straight forward multiple choices was quite a shock..on my grades.
I think the class is very easy. I don't like his teaching style but I got an A+...
Wilkie is hilarious. However, he doesn't really teach much. Reading the book doesn't help at all as all he does is take book problems, changes the numbers and puts them in the test.
Honestly, I don't understand why so many people love Wilkie. I did pretty well in 201 with Erickson, and came into 202 expecting the same. I worked harder than I even did in 201, yet did not do nearly as well. His tests are all about tricking you. Thats his game.
Do all the work, do extra problems the tests are hard esp since they only have 12 graded ?s. Try throughout the course of the semester and you'll at least get a B.
In terms of the content of this course, it is a waste of time if you are not a financial guy. If you don't want to go to comm school, there is no reason for you to take this course...
Decent class. It is NOT financial accounting part 2.
Professor Wilkie is awesome and hilarious.
