Professor Ogden was a lovely instructor to have. The COLA she teaches is called "Getting Perspectives." We studied different types of media and learned how to put our biases aside to realize the message the author was trying to tell us. This class was not as engaging as I thought it would be, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. I liked being exposed to different types of art that I would not normally seek out myself. We took a trip to the Fralin Art Museum, went to a cultural event of our choosing around Grounds, and did a film study. I would recommend taking a COLA in general because it is good to have a closer relationship with your pre-major advisor and learn about all the different academic resources/opportunities.
