Lise is a great professor, nice and is very understanding. This class will probably never be taught again so I won't go into detail about the class content, but I did love the content of the class (history of museum curation, ethical/unethical curation, culture of PNG through bilums) but I learned a ton. The class wasn't sure high effort (maybe 60+ pages or reading 1 page summary per week). Lise's grading is also very subjective - she doesn't seem to have a rubric, but she does give justifications for her grades and why she felt like you earned a certain letter grade. Even for the weekly assignments, she reads every reading before class to provide comments and underline things that she liked but doesn't actually produce grades. It ended up that working in my favor though because I got an A. Overall, great class!
