This class was pretty awesome for anyone interested in ancient Greece or Alexander the Great (a great follow up to Greek Civ!). The class was designed really well. First we looked at historical accounts of Alexander and the men around him, then we looked at all the fantastical stories told about him, and lastly we looked at Alexander the Great portrayed in the modern age (in film). It was not a stressful class--the readings were reasonable and thoroughly discussed in class. Dillery's tests are always fair, so none of the tests/quizzes were a surprise. You don't even have a final--you turn in a paper (pretty much about whatever you want to talk about).
