A quiz every class (either dictation/writing or a weekly review quiz on the topic). Standard fare as far as language classes go, not too hard for heritage speakers, who are the intended students. You'll stay busy, a fair amount of work each class. Grading is not too hard though with reasonable work effort.

this class requires a lot of time/work, especially in the beginning of the semester. toward the end, there's more group work. midterms are take home essays. the focus of the class is to improve formal speaking and writing that you will probably rarely use
