As an intended Linguistics major, I enjoyed this class. Not everyone would. The class meetings are typically wonderful; Prof. Danziger runs an excellent discussion and those of us who could hang around the building frequently continued conversation after class had ended. The weekly assignments on our individual Amerindian languages, though, got pretty hairy. Be prepared to teach yourself a lot about the intricacies of grammar.
