Bashkow is incredible. He's so passionate about his work and just as passionate about teaching his students. I love him! It's a tough class - heavy on the reading and writing - but I'd said it's one of my favorites during my time here at UVa for sure.

Amazing class. Bashkow covers an amazing number of anthropological periods and theories. A must for anyone who wants a background in intellectual history.

Bashkow is an amazing professor. He really knows his shit and his ability to select and condense readings down to the most important 10-12 pages is remarkable. You will really develop an understanding of the various theories, many of which have direct ties to a number of non-anthropological fields.

This is an amazing class. It is intense, there are alot of readings and weekly papers, but its worth it. Totally enlightening, though Bashkow might be a little controversial if you are not as liberal as he is. Roberto is a wonderful TA.
