This is a required class. The first half is just a review on statics. The second half gets more into deflections, etc. The concepts seem easy to follow. However, I felt that there was too little time for the tests. He gave you 4 questions for a class period(75 minutes). Most people did not have time to double check their work. Anyways, the midterms were bearable but in the final exam(6 questions), I felt that he threw too many curveballs, which made completing the exam quite a challenge. Overall, not too bad of a class to take, but I'd rather not take it again if I could choose to.

Professor Ozbulut is a good instructor. The lectures could be a little dull at times, especially when we would work through one or two example problems that would take up the entire 75 minutes. Still, he was more than happy to students if necessary, and his lectures explained the material well. We had 7 homeworks over the semester, and each took maybe 4-5 hours to complete. The exams weren't too difficult and normally had high averages.
