An easy class if you pay attention and do most of the reading. Make sure to do your assignments and there's no reason not to get a high B or an A in the class. The only problem is you basically have to teach yourself Civil3D, so be prepared to spend lots of hours just clicking buttons.

The subject is rather boring, but is useful. The class is 75 minutes which is a bit too long, so bring other work to do and sit in the back. The professor is great! The survey lab is pretty fun. Use The Hive for AutoCad and CivilCad.
Fun and easy class.
Not a bad class. Just pay attention and don't overthink problems and you'll be fine
good professor. made the dry material somewhat interesting. the lab is a huge pain but simple. computers needed for assignment. there is a final project
Professor Smith is a nice guy but this class is terribly boring and dry. The material covers a bunch of outdated things with some interesting things thrown in there here and there. It doesn't help that he doesn't really act that interested in the class. Also the tests are sometimes wordy and wayyy too long for the amount of time alloted but if you can speed write you should be ok.
The material taught in this class is really dry, but Smith does a good job of trying to make it interesting. Talking about real-world examples was always fun and helpful. The tests are fair, and the group work is not hard, but does help you grasp the material
B. Smith is an awesome professor, he is very organized and makes class fun. He is very interactive and it is easy to pay attention in class. His tests come right from the class slides.
Not overly difficult material, but this was a tough class to get through. The test and homework questions weren't worded well, and the tests were too long. Also, I thought we were expected to spend too much time on group projects for how much weight they gave them. Its required, but there's a lot of frustrating stuff in this class.
Course is kind of boring and unuseful for those not majoring in Civil Engineering in the field of structural. This course focuses on topics environmental and transportation engineers don't really need to know.
