Bioreaction Kinetics- I recommend to all BMEs. I honestly think that this class should be required for BME students. It gives insight into one of the areas BMEs can go into post undergrad, pharma. This course covers enzyme and receptor kinetics, drug delivery modeling, and continuous and batch cultures/bioreactors. I think this is one of the easiest and most interesting classes I have taken in BME. Low outside of class commitment. Did one group project over the entire semester. Only 1 homework every 2 weeks or so- only 5 over entire semester. Only 1 midterm and the final was essentially another midterm, both worth 15% each. Prof allowed notes during exams. Did use matlab but was easy. It was the first semester this prof has taught it, and he did an amazing job! It wasn't super interesting at the beginning but once you hit drug modeling, everything from there is very relevant and engaging. Overall, I highly recommend this course!! Got a 4.0 in the class.
