Very hard to hear him. Sit in the front.

Very interesting class. For pre-meds it is extra interesting. Furthermore, this class is amazing for MCAT prep. Professor Homyk is a good lecturer but he mumbles frequently and talks fast. Sit up front and if possible record him. He is very reachable outside of class and is very nice and considerate of his students. Focus your studying on lecture and for any questions check the book/ask Professor Homyk and you'll do well.
After taking all my premed requirements, biochemistry and various other science courses, I would say this class is the best preparatory class for the MCAT. Professor Homyk knows the human body inside out. I am surprised this class isn't a premed requirement. Highly highly recommend. Grading is pretty fair too (fixed scale)- just be prepared to memorize a lot.
The professor is nice, but lectures are dry and dull.
Homyk is a really nice guy, but all the midterms/tests are based on lecture. You must attend lecture as he takes roll spontaneously.
It wasn't a bad class. Con is that he doesn't curve at all, and people generally tend to do pretty well. Reading the book and paying attention to lecture, are both necessary to doing well in the class. The grade is based only on the 3 tests.
