Absolutely brilliant. Very kind and attentive to her students, and asks thought-provoking questions to start great discussion. She also gives really helpful feedback, you can tell she cares about developing her students as writers. Highly highly highly recommend, she is lovely!!

I actually had Zehnder for ENLT 2555 in Fall 2018 but there isn't a designation for that course. I assume her lecture style is similar to carry over to other courses that I thought to include here instead. Her class is one of the most asinine, tedious courses I've taken at the university and I do not recommend this professor. She's very nice and approachable but her guidelines aren't super clear. As a result, it's hard to make significant improvements in her course. On daily assignments, I found it hard to get full points within her constraints and would often spend more time to ensure a top score. While I'm not sure about this course specifically, Madeline likes a participation component to her course so I'd be surprised if that wasn't some large component here as well so make sure to come well prepared. If you find yourself unsure about the quality of your work, it's best to go to her OH to get clarification and feedback before you turn it in. She's a tough grader so it'd be in your best interest to do that sooner in the semester than later.
