This course is by NO means an easy A. Throughout the whole semester, you read 5 books and write journals about things that interest you from the readings. On the 5 journals I wrote, I only got an A on two of them, and they were all over 5 pages single spaced. He is very very very hard to please, and I don't think this course is worth your time. You also don't even need to read the books because he spends the whole class talking about what you already read. It doesn't make any sense. You also get a class participation grade which is ridiculous because you barely have class discussions. Overall, this is not worth 2 credits and don't take it.

Just ok- don't take it unless you're actually interested in the subject. I never did super well on the homeworks and he never made it clear what he really wanted me to change about them. Gets too boring over 2 hours. Probably better USEMs out there.
You can tell Professor Trindle loves the subject he teaches and can sometimes relate to us but over 2 hours I just can't pay attention in class. Do ur hw each week or u will fall behind
I was really bored in this class. The readings are kind of interesting, but, being a USEM, the material was really watered-down. The lectures were really informal, which was nice, but the class was so long for just a little bit of information that I wanted to just not go. Prof. Trindle is a pretty chill guy but a bit monotone.
