A lot of writing. Not easy at all.

Write 1 paper per week, due each Friday night, which sucks. But if you do the papers, you'll get an A or B. Even if you mess up a paper, he'll let you make corrections resulting in a B for the paper. Very nice old man, but boring and a lot of writing.

You're writing a paper a week, some of them ended being in excess of 15 pages. The grading is super easy and I do think this class really improved my ability to construct and analyze an argument. Rubin is a super nice guy.

Professor Rubin has an excellent personality and knows the subject matter inside and out. Lectures could get bit boring at times, but the more one participates, the more interesting it seems. This class is a great way to fulfill the second writing requirement, and it's only of the only USEMs that counts for 3 credits instead of only 2.

David Rubin is a fabulous professor and really gets you thinking about what makes a good argument. The topic of assisted suicide was slightly depressing but this class was 10 times better than an ENWR and really improved my writing. Good second writing requirement filler.
