Horowitz has a great background in the business but is clearly not a professor

Lectures are so boring, grading can be arbitrary, TA's are horrible. The midterm has some random problems that were never fully covered in class. The final is easier than the midterm. There's a 20 page business plan project due at the end of the semester but its not too bad because you work on it in the homeworks all semester.

Class was pretty easy and pretty fun. Horowitz can be really weird and irritable at times. He talks about porn alot which is kind of funny and its incredibly clear that he is making up alot of the stats he uses on the spot. Worthwhile and relatively easy tech elective if your in eschool. probably not worth it if your not.

The class has changed significantly since last year. The midterm was not open notes, and was challenging (The average was around 60). Individual homeworks are a joke, though. Horowitz is a pretty boring lecturer in my opinion, but some enjoyed him.

Horowitz was excited about the class but boringg. The TA Ted Perez was horrible and unhelpful. The class was pretty easy though! and kinda neat

Attendance is part of the grade but can only hurt you. Barry is an interesting teacher but sometimes goes off on tangent stories about himself. Midterm was open book and notes, not too hard.

This class is decent, but only because it is easy. Lectures are dry but easy to understand, so are the homeworks. Take this class if you are in the business minor and you're sure to get at least a B.

Prof. Horowitz is a very successful individual, however his lectures are quite cut and dry from the .ppts. The reading is nice and HWs aren't too hard and TAs are helpful. Study the HW for the tests and integrate all the HW concepts in the final project to get a good grade.
A nice class to learn about Website Business, but could be a lot more interesting if the Prof. was more exciting and dynamic.

really horrible. easy as anything, but boring, with mandatory attendance. horowitz is the least enthusiastic, most disinterest professor i have ever had at UVa, and he does not care about his students or even his subject. although it's an easy A, sitting through this class is so painful that it is not worth it--i was angry enough to strangle a chicken after most lectures. and what is worst: he often has to cancel class due to "important meetings" and then re-schedules mandatory make-up classes late at night. miserable!!!

Generally, I wasn't a huge fan of this class. Horowitz has a pretty large ego, and therefore doesn't come across as very accommodating to his students. The topics seem to be all over the place at times.
