The structure of this class is confusing and unorganized.

So Professor Horowitz is a successful businessman with an interesting back story - but he's got no teaching skills whatsoever. He literally rambles on the entire class period, and his lecture slides have minimal content. But the professor was just the spokesperson, because everything was graded by our TA. Too bad he was a grad student that had never taken a class like this before; he was just as lost as we were sometimes.

Grading is very subjective. The midterm and final were hard and impossible to finish within the 1.5hr time period. The final project is torturous, so I'd start brainstorming e-business ideas as soon as possible. Overall, this class sucked. It was boring and I was on Twitter the whole time. Don't take it unless you have to, okay? Just don't.

Professor Horowitz is nice man and entertaining, but this class is just not well run.Grading is very arbitrary. Homework is just unreasonably long for a 2000 level class. Grade distribution wasn't favorable. Frustrating experience for what I thought would be a GPA booster, which turned out to only hurt my GPA. Would not take again.

If you take this class, you are going to be miserable. Do yourself a favor. Please. For me.

Horowitz loves to lecture and what he says gets extremely repetitive and boring. Attendance is taken so go to class. Midterm, final, homework and final business plan make up your grade each worth 25%

This class is so god awful. The problem is the structure of the class. The topic itself is interesting and obviously very applicable to the real world. However what you learn through the home works has less to do with the real world and more to do with concepts you could learn simply by Googling. Also the grading is completely subjective and the TAs themselves don't know what is needed to get a good grade. The term paper is completely useless. There are some kids in the class who are legitimately interested in starting an online business and so have a basis for their paper. The majority of the class does not plan on implementing their business plan and pretty much have to bs 15 pages worth. The midterm is so time crunched and the professor doesn't seem to realize how little he actually teaches. I ended up with an A but I still can't tell you how I managed that. Pretty sure they pulled grades out of the air.

The final paper is rough so get started on that ASAP. The book we read was enjoyable, but I didn't use our actual textbook at all (waste of $$). Some of the concepts are dry and lectures can get a tad boring at times. But overall, I learned a lot about business.

This class is all about uncertainty in business and in the end we talked more about his experiences as a CEO rather than managing Ecommerce systems. Overall, I found his insight invaluable. The only rough parts about this class are the tests which are pretty much wide open on questions.

This class is great for a technical elective. Horowitz rambles a bit, but is clearly passionate about the subject.

Very interesting course. Horowitz presents the information in a way that is easy to follow and learn. Good course for a tech elective
