Profesora Frost is probably one of my favorite Spanish teachers that I've had. This class was the perfect introduction to Latin American literature but with a favorable class structure for students. From what I can recall we did not have any tests or any assignments that stressed me out a lot. The only frustrating thing about Frost is that she is so bad at answering emails and is kind of hard to get in touch with, while also being delayed in posting assignments. While this is pretty typical for the Spanish department, it is definitely something to note. Overall this class was SUPER interesting, we basically learned about the conquest of Latin America from the perspective of Spanish conquistadors writing. I am not a super big history buff but this was so so interesting. Additionally, there was a short diary entry for each class but this was helpful in connecting reading to discussion in class. I ended with a good grade and would definitely recommend this class to anyone in the Spanish major or minor, it is a good option for a survey course.
