I absolutely love the professor! Pauw is so nice and understanding, and she runs a very interesting and engaging course. She tends to keep lectures short and centers most of the class around discussion both as a class and in small groups, which sometimes proved to be hard over zoom. The homework is reading-heavy but is always interesting, and she is always more than happy to clarify any confusion you have within the reading. The essays and response homework were very engaging and never difficult to complete. There were only two exams and they were not difficult and tested general understanding, so as long as you pay attention to class discussions and recurring themes within the class. Overall I really recommend this class to anyone that has a passion for Spanish!

She is seriously one of the nicest professors i've ever had. She is VERY knowledgeable about the texts and always knows how to guide discussion but is also very understanding if anything is confusing and will take the time to explain. The homework can be a little time consuming because she has you answer guided reading questions every class and submit them through assignments (she reads your responses too and offers feedback almost every time). But i still would recommend this class for sure as she's a great professor and an easy grader.
