Loreto was a very knowledgable and warm instructor. In each of the three units of the course, there was a primary source, and accompanying quiz and essay. Loreto was very encouraging and helpful in understanding the sources, especially in her office hours. The quizzes and in-class work were fairly easy, while the essays were increasingly difficult, as you had to be able to understand the texts and themes in-depth. Overall, not the best course perhaps, but you have to take it for the major or minor, and Loreto is one of the best instructors to take it with in my opinion.
