Pellon is a good professor and very good at interpreting literature, but be warned that you will be writing 250 words for every class that you would not have to write under another professor.

Amazing professor!! The reading is challenging and can be much at times, but Pellon has excellent taste. 4 essays + a literary terms quiz. Be careful with essays- he is very harsh with grammar errors. No final/midterm :)

Professor Pellon is knowledgable and fun, and he chose excellent works of literature to study. He starts you out writing a 2-page paper, then a 3-, 4-, and eventually a 5-page paper for your final. He is very willing to help you better understand the piece you're reading and develop your thesis. The class is mostly discussion and he doesn't drone on incessantly like some of the other professors in the Spanish department. I haven't taken any of his other classes, but I imagine they're all fantastic, too! He is hands-down the best Spanish professor I've had here.

Pellon is an incredible teacher. This class requires a number of papers and daily reading, but it is not overly strenuous.
