Janice is an incredible professor! I had never been as challenged to expand my reading and writing skills as I had in this class. There was A LOT of reading but most of it was very interesting and, although it could be difficult to understand, there was always extensive discussion in class in which other students and Janice herself gave opinions on them and helped you glean a better understanding of the material. Janice is a tough grader when it comes to essays but the comments she gives help you write a better essay the next time. In general, there is a substantial amount of work for this class. You have to be prepared to work hard. BUT if you dedicate yourself to it, it is extremely rewarding academically. My writing skills in Spanish AND English were effected tremendously. 10 out of 10, would recommend :)
