Professor Shepard is an amazing teacher and you can tell she really cares about her students. This is a very grammar and writing-heavy course, so just know that going in. Make sure to revise all of your written work and take the few tests seriously and go to office hours if you need help on anything.

Mathilda really cares about her students and the material. I was very nervous at first because when I got my first assignment back it was covered in corrections. However, when I got the grade back it was a 90, showing that she truly cares about bettering her student's writing and grades for your effort. If you use her corrections for your final draft, it's easy to get high A's on writing assignments. I also found the exams to be extremely manageable if you put in the work. The study guides for the exams are very useful and usually much harder than the exams, making the exams fairly easy. Overall, this class improved my Spanish immensely and I very much recommend.
