I would highly recommend Prof. Whitcomb for SPAN 2010. She is very knowledgeable & fluent for a non-native speaker, makes herself available almost daily if you ever need help, and really wants you to succeed in the class. I'd say she is a pretty lenient grader, but you must do all of the assignments and put in effort! As for the course itself, I do not necessarily agree with the syllabus for this class. I believe there is too much work for just a 3-credit class. Most of it, especially the Supersite work, is very tedious and repetitive. Tests are pretty easy, but make sure you study the textbook and are confident with the vocab/grammar. The e-Portfolio, as annoying as it was, is a very useful tool for language learning and is worth it in the end!
