Super easy and interesting class that is useful for getting a requirement out of the way. All tests are take home and open note, there is a homework assignment about every two weeks that consist of practice problems from what we have been learning in lecture, and a weekly news article summary. There is a textbook for this class, but as long as you go to lecture you don’t have to read any of it. Also, I would definitely recommend going to every class because nearly half of the questions on the midterm and final were word for word from lectures throughout the semester. Lastly, Professor Modjaz is extremely kind and truly wants her students to succeed and enjoy her class. I would definitely recommend this for people looking to add a less time consuming class to their schedule.

Great intro class. Professor Modjaz does a great job and you can tell she is extremely knowledgeable and wants to make the class engaging. Exams were online and straightforward, and we had a weekly blog post about a current event. Def recommend this class!
