Sarah is one of the reasons I'm glad I get to go to UVA. I've had great luck with Sociology TAs, and Sarah is in my top two. (They are all very good, but two of them are in a league of their own.) She is always fair, consistently exercises wisdom and excellent judgment in handling people and sticky situations (of which there were many); ultra-perceptive and genuinely cares about people; brings out the best in everyone. It always impressed me how humble and unassuming she was in spite of the fact she is absolutely brilliant. Another strength, she is a master of guiding a group's dialog without dominating it--a very rare ability.
