This class is incredibly easy. That being said, it is not very compelling. Professor Sarazin is an incredibly kind and reasonable man, and that is reflected in his tests, but he does a stupendous job at making outer space boring. I would advise not buying the book because his powerpoints/ homework assignments are comprehensive enough.

Craig Sarazin a pretty nice guy. He's approachable, friendly, and adds some dry-humor to his lectures every once in a while. The manner in which he teaches and grades the class doesn't make it particularly hard. It mainly consists of lectures with i-clicker questions, open-book online homework graded for accuracy, and vocabulary-based tests. That being said, whether or not you should take this course depends on what you want to get out of it. I hear that some of the other introductory astronomy classes taught by other teachers are incredibly easy "jokes". This class isn't a joke; it requires a bit of effort, but is still fairly easy.
