I was not interested in this subject at all but Professor Biemann made it incredibly interesting. There is a ton of reading, but you don't have to do it all since he covers most of it in lecture. Grade consists of one take-home midterm of short essays and same for the final. As long as you attend every lecture and pay attention, you will do fine.
