This is absolutely the most uninteresting class I have taken at UVA, possibly in my entire life. The professor moves at an excruciatingly slow pace and it is very hard to remain engaged. Never take this class

3 exams and a final, from which you get to drop the lowest, plus you get to bring a one page exam sheet. Should attend lecture for clicker questions. For a 75 minute lecture on statistics, Freeman does a pretty good job to keep you awake enough to understand the sample problems.

Professor Freeman seems to really enjoy the lecture material, and so does the class for the first half of the semester, but once he delves into the statistics, the class splits into two feelings--utter boredom for those already familiar with the material and utter confusion for those who are not.
This course is not nearly as bad as popular wisdom would have you think. The material is not tough and the lab course is really helpful for any upcoming research psychologist.

Most people in this class were there to fill a requirement. Freeman is horribly boring to listen to, but class is necessary if you want to get a good grade. If you study EXACTLY what he says, you can get an A.

This class is awful. Please avoid unless you are a Psyc major. If you do have to take the class avoid Freeman at all costs.

What can I say... this class and the one after it (306) are hard and not fun at all, but it's required for psych majors so what can you do? Freeman is a really nice guy, tho.

thank goodness for his objective sheets before each exam. i probably would have completely failed this course without them. go to lectures. study ahead of time. this class sucks, but i really had no other choice as a psyc major.

Freeman is awesome. Once you get used to his teaching style the class is not bad at all. Mostly emphasizes his notes in class - you must attend class because the slides he posts online are not complete. There is no need to read the book, however. The lab grade is very subjective - all depends on how easy/hard your TA is.

material is boring if you're not into statistics, but freeman is really entertaining. he's kind of absent minded (he once forgot to give us the right lecture...he just skipped right over it), but really nice and gives you everything you need to know. all the equations are on the exams, and the questions are exactly like what you do in class. not as bad as i thought it was going to be
