This class is awesome!! Joy-Gaba also teaches at VCU. The tests are application-based, but there are no trick questions. She is young and fun and always does clever in-class demonstrations that make lecture worthwhile and entertaining! She's extremely open to talking with her students and genuinely wants them to do well. She does a few super easy in-class assignments to check attendance and there are two papers that are leniently graded. Overall, highly recommend!

Multiple choice questions are not that easy! conceptural questions. Hard to get A. I read the book :(. I suggest reading her ppt. May be I should have taken with another prof.

There's a lot of reading because it's a summer class with a different chapter each day. BUUUT Professor Joy-Gaba is absolutely awesome and made this class super fun. I recommend if you want to take a summer psychology class, take Social Psych with JJG.

Prof. Joy-Gaba is a very engaging lecturer and makes a long summer class go by quickly with stories and cool demonstrations. 2 papers which are capped at 2 pages each and 3 multiple choice/short answer exams and a final. Take her advice and make flashcards for everything and the exams (though application based) are a breeze!
