The class was interesting but the professor was very monotone and boring. It has clicker questions for participation, so you have to go to class. The tests are difficult.

Llewellyn's a very nice teacher. Her voice sometimes lulled me to sleep, but when she got into her lectures it got to be pretty entertaining. She basically gives you the resources to study such as comparative charts on strength and weaknesses in her powerpoints.

Llewellyn is pretty boring, and it's really easy to drift off during her lectures. However, the class is really straightforward: if you go to class and do the assigned reading (which is fairly boring as well), then you won't get anything lower than a B+. Powerpoints are posted online and there are iclickers that count toward participation (she gives more than 100 but once you reach 100 you don't have to do anymore). It's probably not the best psych class, but it's an easy class.

The professor was really sweet although sometimes a little boring.. you have to go to class for the i-clicker questions. The subject matter was really interesting, and the exams were very easy if you read the book and went to lecture.

The professor seems nice, but the class was rather boring. The lectures seemed to go on and on and the material seemed all over the place at times. The wording of the test questions were unnecessarily tricky at times, which made seemingly easy tests a lot harder.

Very focused on theories and strengths and weaknesses of theories. Questions on tests are worded strangely.

Llewelyn is very nice and fair. Going to class wouldn't be necessary if she didn't require you get a certain number of clicker points. There are three tests (lowest gets dropped) and a final. She gives extra credit for correctly answered clicker points the class before a test.

lectures are boring and you could probably do well without even going. unfortunately the professor gives you iclicker questions for participation credit so you really have to go. however material is not hard and you get to drop one quiz.

This class was great. After taking other Psychology courses at UVA which turned out not to be at all what I was looking for, this was a good return to the regular or normal type of psychology work/studying I am used to. Professor Llewellyn is really accessible and nice to talk to during her OH about the subject matter, her professional work, or for advising. Very interesting course -- I have a much more detailed understanding of the major theories as to how personality forms and changes. You will get out of the class what you put in, and the effort that you put in will come in the form of reading and studying the text.

I took Psychology in High school and then AP psych senior year, so i though personality psych would be a in depth view of one branch of psychology, but u was disappointed. There's a lot of detail, but most of it i already knew, lacked the understanding or "Personality" that i had been seeking, more than anything, all I've learned is that personality is whatever you want it to be, nothing more nothing less.
