This class was one of the best classes I've taken while at UVA. The class does require a fair amount of work and reading/studying/writing to do well and the tests aren't easy (but are definitely fair), but I thought Prof Bassett was super engaging and the material was so interesting. I'm not in the A-school so I didn't really know anything about planning going into this class, but that wasn't a problem at all. I would 100% recommend taking this class if you actually want to learn something.

Required class for planners, but Professor Basset makes it very engaging and relevant and not as boring as the title sounds. Tough midterm and final but papers and outside assignments to even it out.
