Professor Rogers is a wonderful professor who is incredibly insightful and prepared in his teaching and is engaging in the way he encourages class discussion. I took ARTH 4591 and during the semester I took it with him, the class was on the "Destruction of Archaeology." Over the course of the semester, each student develops their own research topic to write an extended 15-20 page paper on while class/lectures are devoted to topics on archaeology+destruction and ways to think about the topic as well as a history of how it has been approached and represented over time. Professor Rogers pushes his students toward topics that they are excited about and challenges students in class discussions while holding lots of room for understanding (I took this class during COVID when we went online halfway through the semester). If you can take a class with him, I highly recommend.
