Professor Group was a nice guy and a solid teacher. He clearly knew all the material thoroughly and could explain it to the class. The lectures were often accompanied by demos displaying whatever it was we were learning. Every week the class is assigned a Mastering Physics homework online. I thought these were very challenging. Remember, this is a class for physics majors mostly, so the bar is set pretty high. This was my hardest class, but it is also the one I learned the most in. There were two tests and a final. I beat the average by 5% or so on all of them and got a B in the class. I studied for probably seven hours for each of them. I was happy with a B. I took AP Physics in high school and got a 3 on mechanics. If you are set on taking this class, this is a good professor to take it with.
